** LOCAL ANNOUNCEMENTS **

The NEXT BEGINNER SESSION starts Monday, May 18th 2009. Beginner classes are only offered on Mondays from 7:00 PM to 8:00PM. Beginner sessions consist of a 4-month period of study that will conclude with an evaluation to assess your progress and determine if you are ready to advance to the Mudansha/Intermediate class. All registration materials must be recieved by Friday, May 15th, 2009. No exceptions will be made so please register early to guarantee your forms are recieved on time.

FOR SEVERE WEATHER CANCELLATIONS, Washinkan follows the Montgomery County School System (http://www.mcps.k12.md.us/) . If schools are closed, practice is canceled. If schools open late, practice will likely be held unless conditions worsen. Cancellation announcements will be posted on the (members only) washinkan-l email list. Every attempt will be made to post the annoucement here, but this is not always possible.
